TRIAD and Fossil Finalists in A.R.E Design Awards at Global Shop

A.R.E. has announced 65 finalists in the 2015 A.R.E. Design Awards, the industry’s largest and most prestigious retail environments awards program.

“With a record number of entries, this year’s competition was the toughest yet,” said Todd Dittman, Executive Director of A.R.E., the international not-for-profit trade organization representing the retail environments industry. “Our stalwart judges spent several long days last week studying a record number of impressive projects, and the finalists can be proud to have passed their scrutiny.”

The winners will be announced March 24 at A.R.E.’s 44th annual Design Awards ceremony during GlobalShop in Las Vegas. Las Vegas entertainer Heather Burdette will emcee the evening, as winners are honored before an audience of 500 or more industry leaders.
A record number of awards will be presented — including Gold Awards in all categories, Visual Presentation of the Year, Sustainable Project of the Year, Fixture of the Year, Individual Element Awards, design:retail’s Markopoulos Award and A.R.E.’s Merriman Above & Beyond Award, and the highly coveted Store of the Year.  TRIAD and Fossil are a finalist for the new Fossil Woodbury Commons store in New York.

The 2015 A.R.E. Design Awards were judged by an independent panel of retailers, designers and industry journalists: Susan Morton, Nordstrom; Rob Jordahl, Belk Inc.; Angela Gearhart, Sleep Number; Fred Margulies, Herschman Architects Inc.; Eric Boulden, Jump Branding & Design Inc.; Jo Rossman, Retail Environments magazine; Alison Embrey-Medina, design:retail magazine; and Patricia Sheehan, VMSD magazine.
